Storm Blowing
In June 18, 2001 The evening of May 9, 2001, a spectacular storm swirled through town. The rain coming down looked like a massive tornado on the horizon. The photo below shows the same view ten minutes later. More of my Bangkok weather shots are here. |

Wat Khaek June 11, 2001 Outside of Nong Khai in the northeast of Thailand is an extensive and strange collection of towering Hindu-Buddhist figures created out of steel-reinforced cement. This is Wat Phuttama Makasamakhorn, more commonly known as Wat Khaek. Another photo from Wat Khaek is here. |

dog May 14, 2001 I was taking photos of the Rama VIII Bridge construction on the Chao Phraya River and the ferry to cross the river pulled up. The boat pilot stopped for a moment while he was waiting for more passengers and proudly showed me his shipboard assistant--a little dog. |
