1995 Solar Eclipse
January 14, 2001
I couldn't get a good shot of last week's lunar eclipse, so here's the solar eclipse of October 24, 1995. After years of standing in the rain in the US midwest waiting for eclipses, it was a singular treat to finally see one. Typical Buddha Shop
January 8, 2001
Need a Buddha image or other religious supplies? This is the place to go. A few Buddhas sit on the sidewalk. Some multi-tiered umbrellas (to place over a Buddha image) are hanging in the background. The orange buckets on the left are filled with food and necessities to be given to monks to make merit. For instance, if someone has monks come to their house to bless it or preside over some ceremony, they would buy a bucket to give to each monk.
