AIS, Orwell and the New World Order

I chuckled at little at the "Anytime Anywhere Everyone" slogan, but yesterday I happened to stumble on the launch ceremony of their latest, far more scary campaign: it's entitled nothing less than New World Order, and features a stick figure clearly raising its right hand in a Hitler salute. AIS's advertising department is either a) spectacularly clueless or b) has a truly evil sense of humor...

Naming aside, I'm not sure what New World Order actually means, the show yesterday was all in Thai and the web page linked above is, at the moment, effectively contentless. I shall stock up on basic provisions and await the arrival of the jackbooted thugs coming to smash my foreign imperialist aggressor Orange and Hutch phones...

I do think you're overreacting slightly. To me, the graphic looks nothing more than a stickman with one hand larger than the other, more than likely because the other hand has some text in front.

You have to turn off any popup blockers to see the content; A new window will appear showing some flash animation followed by a description of the service in Thai. Would be great if somebody could translate this so we can get to the bottom of it.

Hazarding a complete guess, it looks like some sort of online game...

I'm not overreacting, but my hyperbole is lost in translation. But then again, your reaction might also have been different if you had seen a crowd of several hundred AISers standing at attention in front of unfurled floor-to-ceiling banners plastered with the logo...
