"Revenge of the Sith" in Thailand

Also would like to know what they filmed in Thailand.....!

Further down on the Starwars.com site (Episode III Cast & Crew) it says:

Filmed at Fox Studios, Australia and on location in Guilin, China; Mt Etna, Italy; Grindelwald,Switzerland; Phuket, Thailand & Tozeur, Tunisia and at Elstree Film Studios & Shepperton Film Studios, England.

Some assumptions:
Tunisia - well, that has always been the traditional location for the Tatooine shots In fact, George Lucas derived the name of the planet from the southernmost province of Tunisia, which is called Tataoiune (French) / Taţāwīn (Arabian). (And I have been there in 1994 with my father and visited an 'Uncle Owen cave home' as once used by the Berber population.)
Etna - lava battle on Mustafar
Switzerland - probably Alderaan (the script mentions "awesome mountains" in scene 239 - see below)
China/Phuket - Wookie home planet (Kashyyyk) ??? I mean, it's supposed to have lush vegetation.... (which again isn't really a typical trait of Phuket anymore)

Funnily there's also a planet called Utapau in Episode III - a placename not uncommon in Thailand (meaning 'shipyard for Chinese junks'), most famous because of U-Tapao airbase in Rayong, but also occurring in Changwat Phetchaburi and near Hat Yai. Don't know about the geography/climate of that planet, though......

Anyway, for those who want to know what happens in Episode III before watching the movie (spoiler warning - well, to some extent, we already know the story, anyway!):

So my assumption was right - though it was rather Ao Phang Nga (not Phuket), as mentioned on 2B and visible here. (Scroll down and open image "Kashyyyk - alien riders".) Another significant screen appearance for the Andaman Coast's submersed limestone rocks after "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974)!

On a very different note - much has been said about the alleged parallels to current American politics in the movie plot. But how about comparing the rise of the Galactic Empire to the developments in Thai politics under the Thaksin Government? Wouldn't that be more apt?
