Caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra declared state of emergency in Bangkok and transferred Army Commander in Chief Sondhi Bunyaglarin to PM's Office.

Npoww Thaksin has SACKED RTA Commander in Chief Sondhi since He REFUSES to cooperate with Thaksin and coronies ... so Thaksin is nominating Gen Ruenagroj mahasaranon (Supreme Commander Cheif) to handle TRA instead!

Yep, sopmeone above Thaksuin order to Pull the Plug on Thaksin's announcement

Down or just slashdotted? Bangkokpost is still up, but very very slow, maybe many try to find news now.

Channel 5 Notice says ALL ARMED FORCES and Police have taken control, but explains little else. The usual messages to stay calm etc etc etc
