It reminds me of the 1998 Rory Maclean travelogue 'Under the Dragon - Travels in a betrayed land' in which the author and his significant other go in search of the Burmese/Myanmese origins of a smoked basket they find in a London antiques shop.
Generally a good read. My signed hardback suffered in the 2000 deluge. The signature is now only a blur.
