Note the above photo, of canal passenger boats, is obviously intended to show the degree of visibility in Bangkok this morning. It does NOT depict anything related to the incident described below.

Two injured as container ships collide in heavy fog
Poor visibility caused by thick fog led to the collision of two container ships in the Chao Phraya River at the Wat Bangnanok pier in Bang Kor Laem district, early Saturday morning.
At least one container from one of the ships fell on cement-laden barges pulled by a tugboat and sank in the river, injuring two crew from a river barge.
Marine police temporarily closed the river to commuter traffic to allow the police to inspect the scene. The injured crewmen were slightly injured and sent to hospital.
According to the initial police investigation, thick morning fog obstructing visibility and waterborne traffic may have been the cause of the accident. The authorities are questioning those involved in the accident and also taking statements from witnesses.
Thick morning fog on Friday disrupted airplane landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport. However, air traffic operates normally Saturday despite morning fog.

I'm not sure if the ^above^ picture is a mistake or a genuine attempt to demonstrate the density of the fog on the river.
Note big differences in the following report:
Quote:
1 injured in sand barge collision
A sand barge collided into the rear of the boat which pulled it on Chao Phya Saturday morning, injuring one worker.
Police said the accident happened off the Wat Bang Na Nok Pier.
Four workers fell onto the river and one of them was injured.
Police said thick fog caused the workers to fail to maintain proper distance between the two boats.
