Before I post on the main page, here is the link to a new 'Fact file': Notable terrorist incidents in Thailand - 1970-present

Any input from the 2B forumers?

Not sure if it's notable enough for that list, but in the late 1970s (haven't yet found the exact date) the Provincial Hall of Surat Thani province was destroyed by a bomb planted communist rebels. It was rebuild at a different place in the city, and the site is now the place of the Lak Mueang.

I'd like to have more information (date, casualties) on that event as well, but the web has nothing about it in english.

Yes, think so. Just that it wasn't the "city hall", but the Changwat administration building. The "late 1970s" was from the memory of my wife, but 1982 fits that range as well - but as I haven't looked the 1980s in your list for that event I simply missed it.
