Following an idea by the always hilarious Farang Affairs (http://www.farangaffairs.com/), whose author has been mocking the various ideas by the government to turn Thailand into a [buzzword mode on] "hub" [buzzword mode off] for something, ranging from air traffic to fashion to car manufacturing ("Detroit of the East") to Buddha-knows-what.....

.....without reflecting too long, I'd come up with the following ideas:

Hub for Corruption
Hub for Inefficiency
Hub for Influential Persons
Hub for Vocational Students Brawls
Hub for Rote Learning and Protracted Education Reforms
Hub for Touts :)
Hub for Gem Scams
Center of Excellence for Double Pricing and Rip-offs

Singapore went on a hub binge a few years back, but instead of boring old English "hub" they opted for the fancier latinate "-polis": hence Airtropolis, Biopolis, Fusionopolis and even Singapore's label for the whole country as a Global Entrepolis. regional hub for collapse? haha! i think they succeeded. nicoll highway, fusionpolis... actually, the biopolis area is quite nice and the food court isn't bad. been there once or twice. ;) yep.

i think singapore still IS on a hub binge. lol. what, uhm, air-hub, business-hub, health-hub. enough already! :p
