Posting this on the behalf of a friend, who is writing her dissertation on the legal attitudes towards the sex trade in Bangkok and Singapore:
...I was wondering if you knew anyone who could be my interpreter during my week there (11-16 May). The thing is, I need to speak with some Thai NGOs and prostitutes for my dissertation and many of them don't speak English that fluently. It's hard trying to make them understand what is legalisation for instance.
So, do you know of anyone, who would be able to help me out here? This person shouldn't be shy ideally, as we are venturing into the red light district and discussing a controversial topic. I would be able to pay a token sum to this person, but I'm a poor student, and wouldn't be able to pay very well.
