Admittedly picked because it makes better than average use of maps

http://www.udonmap.com/udon_thani_city_map.htmlWow, these are really good! Thanks for pointing out.
Their map of Nongkhai (http://www.udonmap.com/images/nongkhai_map.gif)shows a strange alignment of the railway track, though.
Is it really like this, the track to Talat Nongkhai branching off so early, going anti-clockwise and ending up in a westward direction? I thought I remembered it came from the other direction and the line end was east of the station. (Nongkhai railway stations have been discussed here (http://www.angkor.com/2bangkok/2bangkok/forum/showpost.php?p=2867&postcount=21) before.)
It's a slow-loader!:-

And is best-saved as a complete webpage as it is a composite map!
Plus Flood Hazard Map of Hat-Yai:-

One of my favorite images from the flood. Local car owners rushed to park their cars on 'Sapan Dum' out of the floodwater; ironically over the Klong Utapao:-

Plus a piece of local color from the above:- http://www.adpc.net/training/news/cbdm6-hatyai.html Indeed, flooding always has been a normal part of Thai culture. The supposedly educated and completely unethical just made it far worse.
