This might be of interest to some of you: a Thai photographer by the name of Manit Sriwanichpoom. His work was featured internationally and recently exhibited at the Venice Biennale.
Manit's works confronts social / political issues like the excess of consumption, the impact globalisation, poverty etc. Some of his photos are deliberate dramatisation with actors, sometime set against derilict landscapes (like the abandon Hopewell pillars and skeletons of unfinished BKK skyscrapers). Another interesting photo collection is the book entitled 'The Car That Ate Bangkok' by Bangkok based Australian photo-journalist Phil Blenkinsop.. though the photos in this book are mainly of traffic accidents in BKK, so it's not for the faint hearted!!

Well they're two of my two favourite Bangkok photographers. Anyone would like to recommend any other?
