Minister of Energy opens central NGV production facility
Minister of Energy Lieutenant General Poonpirom Lipatapanlop (พูนภิรมย์ ลิปตพัลลภ) stated during a ceremony on NGV production at PTT Public Company's main facility in Pathumthani province that the facility would serve as the largest production center for NGV in the nation with a capacity of 470 tons of gas to be produced daily. The facility is also aiming to up its output to 640 tons per day in July and will increase its transport vehicles from 70 to 156 completing 266 shipments per day. The facility will be able to service 60 stations in Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
The opening of the station today will increase the national production rate from 2,300 tons per day, to 2,900 per day and subsequently to 5,400 tons per day at the end of the year, which will then be a sufficient figure to provide NGV to the entire nation.
