Hot-sofa news from Banglamuang's Finest. One wonders if it might not have been safer to invest in some decent policebikes.
Aerial policing begins with opening ceremony at local airfield.
As we reported earlier this week, Banglamung Police have come up with a new way to fight crime in the area. Officers will now be taking to the air as they continue their fight against crime. The aerial support will also be used to quickly identify traffic hotspots in the area so Traffic Police can be sent to the scene to take control and improve traffic flow. Police Lieutenant General Jongrak, the Region 2 Commander of Police was guest of honor at this official opening ceremony at a small airfield in Soi Greenway, Jomtien. The General mentioned that this will prove an economical way of patrolling the area with the rising cost of petrol here in Thailand and is in fact cheaper to run compared to a standard patrol car. Although the plane will be controlled by Banglamung Police, it will be sent to incidents around the District including Pattaya if it is required.
