I've been researching Bangkok properties for a little while now and I've noticed that, unlike here in Australia, I cannot seem to find any reliable statistics relating to property sale prices. For example, in Australia, the relevant real estate institute in each State publishes price ranges, average prices etc (on a monthly and annual basis) for land and house sales, broken down by suburbs.
After looking at various real estate web sites for Bangkok properties, I get the impression a lot of advertised prices seem a bit high, particularly when compared to some of the listings (in Thai) on the Bangkok Bank website.
Does anyone know of any information sources for Thailand that would list sale price data for houses/condos/land in Bangkok? I don't need prices on individual blocks (although that would be interesting too), but it certainly would be good to get average prices for area, particularly so I know what price I need to be negotiating for.
