Soon or later, almost everyone says, "Betong ..... I must go there one day."
It's almost as difficult and uncomfortable (even unsafe) to get to as Mae Hong Song. I must go there one day!:

Deputy Minister of Interior to chair opening of Betong Museum
The Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Banyat Chansena (บัญญัติ จันทน์เสนะ), is scheduled to preside over the opening of Betong Museum in Betong district of Yala province on September 16th, 2007.
The Mayor of Betong, Mr. Khunawut Mongkolprajak (คุณวุฒิ มงคลประจักษ์), says Betong Museum will be officially opened at 14:00 hours on September 16th, and Mr. Banyat will preside over its opening. The museum will help preserve the heritage and culture of Thailand and it has gathered many local artifacts and ideologies. The museum will serve as a tourist destination and a learning center for people to gain knowledge of Betong’s historical events.
On this occasion, Mr. Banyat will meet with the local people and security units of Betong district.
