Koh Chang

Anyone been to this island near Trat?

Friends have invited me but I 'hate' sun/sea/sand - is there any life (i.e. bars/restaurants)?

I just got back from ko Chang in july!.
It's excellent! its something like Phuket without the tourists.
There are quite a lot of bars there.
I'd personally recomend Reggae bar or K.C bar.
Many of the bars also have performances. They have these "fire twirlers".. (for the lack of a better word).
They use these ropes and light them up on fire and twirl them in the air by the sea. Amazing!.
Really quiet place. I recomend you stay at one of the beach huts at coconut beach. They're right by the sea. 300 baht a night!

Bang Bao bay is beautiful too.
the snorkeling in Ko Wat and other neighbouring islands is excellent too.
