Interesting collection of United States Army Map Service topographic maps from the 1950s. I tried to find Khakaborazhi on these maps, but at the location mentioned, it wasn't really that clear whether I had found the mountain itself or just some very tall neighbors. And the closely adjoining sheet, where I suspect the real mountain lies, was not availble in either this collection or the Chinese collection: -

The Sittang Bridge. Blown up by the British Army as the Japanese advanced in WW2. And probably blown up again by the USAF at the end of the war. In the 1950s, some rather complex looking reconstruction work was going on. It is known that the Burmese railways were so heavily devastated by the war that reconstruction lasted for decades after: -
