In the thread: http://www.angkor.com/2bangkok/2bangkok/forum/showthread.php?t=1558
I suggested to make (also) a poll about airports landed on or / and take off from in the South East Asian region. Malaysia / Singapore / Indonesia / Laos / Cambodia / Myanmar / Viet Nam / China / Taiwan / Japan (and what’s in between). I am fully aware this could be quite an impressive list for some of us which of course you can specify in this thread below. My part will follow later. Thailand is excluded from this poll, see other thread.

… Japan and China are included? Long live the New Greater South East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere!...

Well, you must see it from a funny side, I mean polls like these are useless anyway but nice to play with, although a sociologist can use it in researching individually transport behaviour. And measured on something the Japanese try to establish during the second world war, it comes close. So Korea is in, like the Philippines, I have not been (yet) but someone else might. Down under is really out of the scope.

… South Korea ("in between", so it counts, right?)… Yes.

… there's probably a Guinness Book of World Records entry waiting for the guy who selects "All" in the poll and can prove it…

Some joker obviously mark all already but no proof so far and frankly spoken I don’t expect either, in rough it might be possible but if you have to include all the smaller airfields, for example in Taiwan and both Malaysian states Sarawak and Sabah, well he (or she) must be wealthy, have a lot of free time or / and is crazy. :p

Khun von Hirschhorn,

I must confess I am a tad surprised that Burma, Brunei, the Philippines and East Timor are not included in your more eastern orientated definition of SE Asia so I am including -

3) Kuala Lumpur - KUL (new)

8) Yogajakarta - YOG
9) Kupang - KOE

2) Kuala Lumpur - KUL (old)
3) Kuala Lumpur - KUL (new)

Just FYI, the old KUL is still operating as Subang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subang_Airport) (SZB), although it only serves turboprop flights now.

I also flew to Singapore's long-retired Paya Lebar airport back when I was a wee sprog... wonder if there's anyone else here who can claim to have flown to all three of Singapore's civilian airports? :p

Khun Yapofloyd,

… I am a tad surprised that Burma, Brunei, the Philippines and East Timor are not included in your more eastern orientated definition of SE Asia so I am including …

Good, but if you read like you have to read any contract, after the naming Japan in the list you see in brackets: and all in between. And that includes the countries you named as well. A sharp eye needs half a word to understand the meaning. Mai pen rai. All countries along the Western Pacific Rim - i.e. South China Sea – are included.

The booking procedure of Air Asia said: Kuala Lumpur LCCT (KUL) What the heck is LCCT?

This was written while your humble explorer was sitting behind it's Dutch desk.
These words come from the region direct and the question as such would never been asked. LCC = Low Cost Carrier; the new kid on the block in Avation country. T stands for Terminal. Still in sphere of tulips and wooden shoes I was wondering, after a week back in Thailand I catched up quickly. January I'll hope to land there.

I haven't read every post here, so I suppose I may not be fully understanding the context. Anyway, here goes. LCCT probably indicates the Low Cost Carrier Terminal that has not long opened at KL.

Thanks, there's not a real context other that it could have been another airport and thus the statistics.
I'll see what that terminal will bring, coming January I am intending to fly there from Chiang Mai.

Khun von Hirschhorn,
I have just noticed your reply which seems to be a bit unnecessarily curt. Not to be pedantic but given your reference to "..to read any contract", I will however humbly point out that with my 'sharp eye' that you did not quote yourself correctly.

In your original posting you wrote, "(and what’s in between)" in brackets NOT "and all in between". If you indeed wish to infer to other forum members that something is obvious then please spell it out and do please quote yourself correctly as the meaning of both phrases would be quite different in a contract.

Obviously there are many members from different cultures with different english abilities and we are not dealing with contracts here.

Khun Yapofloyd,

And humbly I bow my head, you are right, I mixed things up. Even in the original version it should have been: and all in between but I wrote indeed: and what's in between. One can't be carefull enough in writing threads.
Thanks for the correction, I am always eager to learn, and yes English, unfortunate for the purpose, is not my mother tongue. Could I have done this in Dutch you would be surprised.
A small course maybe?
