There seems to be a human figure dangling under the bridge in your picture (24/10/2005) halfway up on the right!

Yes, that was a man standing on a tiny metal platform painting or applying putty...

This Mornign (August 12, 2006), a student from Ramkhamhaeng University attempted to commti suicide by jumping out of the platfrom at Asok station ... However, he just got serious injury since the train is abotu to stop at Asok station....

BTS security guards rescues him from the track ... :eek:

I thought at least one person has died by jumping from the station to the road below. (about a year of so ago?)

Yeah, I DO know abotu that ... but this is the first case that jum fro mteh platform tpo get run over by the train .... NOT jumping from the station to the ground .. 12 meter below at Siam Station :eek:

There was not much BTS can do for such incident. Some countries adopt platform screen doors for elevated stations.

But they can jump from station, pedestrian bridge, run infront of 10 wheel truck.

I think BTS is really safe compare to mass transit overseas.

Not even close...How far back...there was a guy who jumped into the pit of Siam Paragon. I was there when they cover him up. Sap, probably thought some BG really loved him...Another Farang victem to the non love of a Thai BG!

Pity the London Underground then. It has an average of 52 suicides a year, that is one suicide every seven days!
