This month's issue of National Geographic Magazine features an interesting article on the lives of Chang & Eng, the original Siamese. The twin who moved to the US in the 1830s produced 21 offsprings between them and today there are some 1500 of their descendants scattered across the USA, many still live in Mt Airy area in North Carolina.
This article also mentioned that there have been 11 other twins within the family though none of them ever were conjoined twin!
