Anyone else finding the senate election ads extremely annoying? Or at least ridiculous?
Voilà the latest Bangkok eyesore: the gruesome forest of election signposts.
These are posters or cutouts (see the one for Phichit Rattakul (http://www.2bangkok.com/06/senate-2006.jpg)) attached to sticks, and these are randomly rammed into the flowerbeds (or whatever) along all major roads.
These pics capture the situation quite well: 1 (http://www.2bangkok.com/06/senate-2006d.jpg) - 2 (http://www.2bangkok.com/06/senate-2006e.jpg)
Sometimes they accumulate to small "groves" (often chaotic, pointing in all directions) or form "decorations" around greenery when stuck into hedges etc.
So how many candidates are there? Hundreds? And each of them puts up his/her own sign. Over and over. *Sigh* Must be immensely helpful to the voters. (Go out and write down the numbers of your favourites!)
And I thought there was a ban on election advertising for the senate elections? Well, apparently doesn't include posters. Unfortunately.
Guess there's been to many elections recently - I for one am fed up with these crooks' faces.
