I've heard about a vehicle ferry from Samut Prakan to Samut Songkhram. Looking for tips on how to find it - nearest landmarks, roads etc.
Also wondering about departure times.
Thanks mucho.

I dont' evern think that ther will be a ferry from Samu Prakarn to Samut Songkram via Sahakorn/Sanphasamit canal .... So far, I see ONLOY either fishing boats or the boat for carying cremated ashes to be thrown away on the sewa using such canal ... save he local logn tail boats ..... :p

Yes, it's a mystery. I've been told by Thai folks that it exists, and they've ridden on it...but, they don't know where it is.

Confusions abound. I doubt that a car ferry between those two points would beat the (admittedly often congested) road route. Could it be that they meant a ferry across the Chao Phraya from Samut Phrakan Amphur Muang to Phra Samut Chedi in the same province, which is on the way to Samut Sakon and Samut Songkhram Provinces? And might they have also mixed up which Samut is closest to Bangkok. I frequently do. and my conversations on geographical matters suggest they do too.
This is an interesting blog entry from the adventurous Samut Phrakan 'school' of Thai websites:-
