A few years back I was working in Surat and came across a commerative pack of 16 postcards recalling the Japanese Occupation.

The cards are all in Thai and mine is well rusty having left a few years back.

One picture shows the railway bridge at Phun Phim over the Tapi River damaged.

Another shows a traditional Chinese style junk by the pier at Ban Don.

Has anybody seen these and have a better translation than I can offer?

If anyone is interested I can get them scanned...

Good, we are still looking forward to them. As I will be in Surat Thani next month - do you still remember where you bought that set? I will try if I can find my own one as I am very interested in the history of that area.

Hotel Tapi is at a cross roads. Opposite is a large school, keep thge school on your right but cross over. Walk down the road and the shop is sonewhere on the left, a book shop stationary shop I think it was...good luck!
