Khun Bangkok,

Where can i find the Bangkok area that has many outbound travel/outbound tour agencies marketing Singapore tourist attractions ?

Among the surfers of 2Bangkok.com, who works in the outbound tour industry marketing Singapore tourist attractions ? I would like to introduce Singapore's newest tourist attraction, Asia Legend Theatre, to his/her company and talk about marketing it to visitors from Thailand. Commission per ticket sold could be shared.

Curious about airfares for Thai people.

I am hoping a friend might be able to come visit me in Perth before the year is over (around November), however it is close to impossible. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

Singapore Airlines wants 20,450 Baht BKK-PER (Return)
Thai Airlines wants 24,000 Baht BKK-PER (Return)
I know this is cheaper than flying to BKK, but it is still a lot of money for a young Thai person who just became employed.

Is there a discount travel vendor in Bangkok that might be able to do this for cheaper. The way I see it, is it is next to impossible for a Thai person to travel outside of their country unless they are quite wealthy.

Anyone in Bangkok have ideas on airfare or travel for Thai people.

cool.. so you're in Perth? that's where I am at the moment ;)

See if your friend can get an accompany flight ticket (ie. ticket for two persons). There are many travel agencies around Perth & Fremantle where you can get such ticket. If you like I can get their addresses for you.
Each accompany flight (return ticket) cost about $650 (per person plus tax). So that work out about $200 cheaper - per person.

At the moment the exchange rate is A$1 = 27 Baht, so A$650 is about B19,350. A saving of about 5000baht than if you buy single ticket!!

I never bought one of this ticket myself so I am not familiar with all the terms and conditions.. check how long the ticket last for and expiry date (such tickets only usually valid for 30 days whereas a normal ticket is valid for one year).

another website you might want to keep an eye out for special deals:

Coming to think of it Singapore airline's price is quite competitive (if that price already includes tax).

I fly Singapore Airlines from Bangkok to Sydney via singapore twice a year. It costs me around 19,000 Baht, but thats on a one year student ticket.
Tell your friend to buy the Bangkok Post and check the back pages of the Classified section for discounts and airfare promotions. There are always a few bargains to be found there.

Can someone suggest the cheapest possible airfare from Bangkok to Yangon? Would love to know. I'm in Malaysia, but intend to go to Bangkok first before going to Yangon. Earlier thinking of travelling up to Mae Sot, cross the bridge and get to Myawadi, and travel by land, but if that is not possible due to political instability... I had no choice... :( Didn't like to fly because I can easily throw up...

Please, someone help me....

There is no cheapest airfare yet to Yangon from Bangkok. Thai AirAsia has not started flights to Yangon from Bangkok. It is in talks with Minsitry of Tourism & Transport to do so.

No offense, just curious.

There is no cheap low-fare to Yangon from Bangkok, that's all. I'm stating the fact. Even flying to Yangon from Singapore to me is expensive.

Maybe because you're limiting yourself to Air Asia... then surely there's no cheaper tickets. But I am quite assured that there are cheaper air tickets, just have to look harder. :)

Then, you know which airline offers a lower fare than MAI and Thai Airways from Bangkok to Yangon ? You are not answering relevantly.

I am looking at some other good airlines offering better rates. Besides, it is not only MAI and Thai Airlines that offers flight from Bangkok to Yangon, there are many others. Not that I'm not answering relevantly, but I do think that there should be times when we should open our eyes and look at those that are not 'overly advertised'. When you look into just these big ones, most of the time you are paying for their advertising fees. I know, I've been in advertising for many years.

It is just like flying to Singapore, there's not just SIA or MAS or MAI or Thai Airlines. There are others, but if left unexplored, the knowledge will never be there, and wisdom will never be acquired.

Such as...? The only other airline I know of on the route is Bangkok Airways, and they aren't any cheaper.

That would be because Singapore and Thailand have an open-skies agreement -- anybody can fly the route if they want to, and at last check 21 companies do. Thailand and Myanmar don't, and here (http://www.greenpalacemyanmar.com/airfaire.htm) is pretty much the entire schedule from Myanmar to anywhere in South-East Asia.

There are others, but if left unexplored, the knowledge will never be there, and wisdom will never be acquired.
Either that, or you'll remain a fool.

In case somebody is wondering what happened to Braathens SAFE (http://www.2bangkok.com/2bangkok/1953/1953BangkokbyWeek.shtml), the answer is they're alive and kicking -- in the warm embrace of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) (http://braathens.no/), which was set up in 1951 and granted the monopoly on all international flights from Scandinavia. Braathens had to stop flying to Asia (and Thailand) in 1954, one year after the ad was published, and concentrated on their domestic Norwegian operation. The gap was filled again in 1960, when SAS helped set up a new joint venture airline -- Thai Airways International. Braathens were finally bought over by SAS in 2001 and are now fully integrated, although some planes (http://jpatokal.iki.fi/photo/travel/Norway/Longyearbyen/Tromso_Plane.JPG) still bear the "Braathens" tag.

Does anyone know the address of GMG Airlines in Bangkok? I wish to visit GMG's office in Bangkok.

GMG Airlines is the first private airline of Bangladesh. It starts flying to Suvarnabhumi International Airport from October 20th becoming the first new international airline to start landing in Suvarnabhumi. GMG never flew to Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi before.
