Khun Hasip,

Well, If you are at Silom, you better ride Skytrain to either direction

1) to Vicrtory Monumement and then make a few walk
along the curve toward Expressway and then drop down
at the Northwest Side of Victory Monument -> NOT the Northeast
and the catch bus No. 166 whcih terminate at Pakkret or the Van that ends up at Pakkret.

Reminder about Victory Monument:
Northeast side is for buses and vans that go to Din Daeng, Northwest side is for thebuses and vans that go up to Norhtern Suburbs, Southwest side [the side nearest to Victory Monument station] is for the buses and vans that go to Western Suburbs
and Southest side is for the buses that head to Siam Square and Chula

2) Going to Saphan Taksin Station and catch
Chaophraya Express Boat up to Nonthaburi pier
(downtown Nonthaburi) and then ride the Van (Nonthaburi - Pakkret) or just ride bus No 506, bus No 32 to Pakkret.

After Reaching Pakkret, you can ride a ferry to Koh Kret.

3) Well, riding Taxi from Silom to Pakkret via Expressway is fast
but you have to pay additional 50-60 Baht when you are using
Expressway in addition to the taxi payment .... whcih would
be aroudn 200-300 Baht.

4) Also, there is a van service From Silom to Muangthong Thani
This one is about 30-40 Baht ... After that you can ride
bus No 52 or bus no. 356 as most local people do ... van service that pass around Muangthong Thani (the gate btu not side the village) are also a good deal .... 10 Baht from Muangthong
Thani to Pakkret.

Taxi is a good deal if you want more comfort ... but I'm not
so sure if Taxi could pack all 6 passengers to Pakkreet ...
2 taxi would be a good deal. Thus the cost of each passenger would be around 80-100 Baht

I went to Koh Kred last weekend, and ended up taking a ferry to Nonthaburi, then taxi to Wat Sanam Neua in Pak Kred and a ferry across.

However, the Lonely Planet BKK mentions that there are green-flag Chao Phraya express boats traveling upriver from Nonthaburi, and I actually spotted one of them when on Koh Kred. There were no signs, instructions or schedules at either end though (as far as I know; my Thai is extremely limited but I would have recognized either place name, I think) and nobody at Koh Kred seemed to know about them either. What's the scoop on these?

Found a lot of tourist references to the Laem Thong Co. Ltd Green Flag ferry service to Pak Kret but no details in anything official!

I note that http://www.2bangkok.com/ferries.shtml of March 2004 indicates that they have not yet been started!!

Sorry.

Laemthong Boat went OUT OF Business due to economic hard time in 1998 ....

It is unlikely that the boat to Pakkret would be relived since the aircon van from Nonthaburi pier to Pakkret pier (10 Baht) as well as the BMTA bus (No 32 and 506) would grobbled much of the passengers from that boat .... Well If the boat heading to Pathumthani City Hall (in the western side of Chao Praya), it will another matter but pathumthanit is very remoted area though ... even the prvincial hall are look not so busy as Nointhaburi pier.
